NEED a cup of coffee? Then Solihull is the place to go.
There are some 18 cafes in the town centre and now there’s going to be another following news that Greggs the bakers is to open a new coffee house in Mell Square creating 15 new jobs.
The new ‘Greggs Moment’ is due to open at the end of May, and will be home to the Greggs National Barista Training Academy - a first for the business - where every Greggs Moment employee will be trained in the art of being the perfect barista.
The high street retailer is holding a recruitment drive at Touchwood shopping centre next Thursday, April 25, to provide people with more information about the business, plus the roles and training available.
Tony Rowson, former regional operations director at Costa and now head of coffee at Greggs, said: “Creating local jobs for local people is important to us so we’re looking forward to meeting as many individuals as possible at our recruitment event.
“There’s lots of Italian and American influence on the high street but nothing that shouts British, so we’re very proud to be bringing our vision to Solihull.”
Greggs Moment is still looking to fill a number of full and part-time positions, including coffee house managers, assistant coffee house managers and baristas. Anyone interested in the jobs on offer can visit the upcoming event at Touchwood shopping centre or go to www.greggsfamily.co.uk to apply.
