BUILD-a-Bear manager’s personal touch is rewarded with Touchwood’s first ever Excellence Award.
Associate manager Olga Anuckina was nominated by her manager Nicki Church in recognition of hard work, dedication and going the extra mile after she showed extraordinary perseverance in tracking down a specific bear for a young guest which resulted in an international search.
Olga said: “I can’t believe I was nominated for the award, let alone won it! I’m so pleased to have won the first-ever Touchwood Excellence Award and would like to thank my manager Nicki for nominating me. I always try to give guests at Build-a-Bear the best possible service, especially as many of them are young, and I’m delighted that this has been recognised.”
The Touchwood Excellence Awards were launched earlier this year to highlight the commitment of retailers at the shopping centre by encouraging staff to nominate colleagues who have gone above and beyond the call of duty for customers.
Lucy Burnett, marketing manager at Touchwood, added: “Here at Touchwood, we understand that it is the hard work and dedicated commitment of our in-house team and retailers which results in the excellent guest experience that we are renowned for. We wanted to give our team members the recognition they deserve and we look forward to receiving the next set of quarterly nominations.”
