BRITAIN’S most famous fitness instructor will be putting shoppers through their paces this weekend.
None other than Mr Motivator is dropping in to Touchwood Shopping Centre on Saturday afternoon.
The Jamaican will be raising awareness for a 380km bike ride, taking place later this year.
The fitness guru will be leading a nine-strong team of cyclists, from the Hampton Health and Fitness Club, around the island’s coast.
It’s hoped that the ride will raise £100,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Paul Edbery, who runs the Hampton-in-Arden gym, said: “We’re really excited to be involved in such a big fundraising campaign to support Marie Curie Cancer Care.
“We will be putting the team through training, but learning to cycle long distances is easier than learning to run. Your body can adapt quickly.”
Some of the team taking part have already been out and about in Solihull town centre, drumming up support for the challenge.
At the event tomorrow, Mr Motivator will be posing for pictures and asking passers-by to join in one of his trademark work-outs.
You can join him in library from 12.30pm. And to find out more about the charity bike ride, go to www.thehampton.co.uk.
