Flats rejected but appeal in pipeline

A PLANNING application to build apartments on Streetsbrook Road was rejected at a local council meeting on Wednesday.

A PLANNING application to build apartments on Streetsbrook Road was rejected at a local council meeting on Wednesday.

The application put forward by Piper Developments was denied approval on the grounds of the possible issues of parking, as only 10 parking spaces would be allocated to residents and the streets surrounding the area are double yellows.

The application for the development was originally put forward over two years ago, and has gone through a number of amendments and appeals.

Group development consultant for Piper Group, Keith White said they would appeal against the decision.
