FOOTBALL, film and fashion is perhaps a lesser known trinity, but it will prove a winning combination this Friday when Football Factory director Nick Love will be in Solihull for the premier of his latest film and to launch an eighties casual clothing line.
Love’s new film, The Firm is set in the eighties and tells of a young wannabe football casual who gets drawn into the enchanting but dangerous world of football hooliganism.
Friday evening’s premier will come with a twist as the fashions from England’s famous terraces, on show in the film, will have their own red carpet event.
Belushi in Dicken’s Heath will launch a line of 80s casual fashion, full of brands capable of bringing tears of nostaglia to the eyes of football casuals of the eighties such as Fila, Ellesse, Terrinda and Sergio Tacchini.
Mick Foley of Belushi said: “This event is as much about the clothing as it is about the film. It’s really exiting to have all these 80s brands on offer. Everyone is welcome to come down.”
Nick and some of the cast will be at the Dicken’s Heath store at 4.30pm on Friday, to sign shirts.
Later in the evening they will head over to the premier at Cineworld, which is now sold out, and then go on to a private party at the Slug and Lettuce.
