THE Friends of Solihull Hospital (FOSH) are hoping locals will join them as they aim to raise £87,000 for state-of-the-art equipment.

FOSH will be holding a skittles night with ploughman’s supper on May 11 at Solihull Rugby Club on Sharmans Cross Road, Solihull.

This will be followed up by the annual Friends summer fete in the hospital grounds. This year’s will take place on June 16.

The much-needed funds will be put towards new keyhole surgery equipment to aid patients who undergo surgery for digestive and gynaecological conditions.

FOSH secretary Liz Steventon said: “We have already raised over £65,000 and we are hoping these two events will help us get much closer to our target as well as being a lot of fun.”

Tickets at £7 per player are available from Liz on 07909 912525 or liz@steventon.net.
