MY friend decided, after trying to lose some weight, she would have a go at the Knowle Fun Run.
Along with her partner running by her side for encouragement, she encountered the most appalling foul language she had ever experienced from some of the spectators who were supposed to be supporting the runners.
She was called a “fat cow” and look at “fatty”, and much more but I’m too ashamed to reiterate it in print.
My friend was bullied at school and although she could have quite easily finished the fun run, she gave up in tears due to the cruel, heartless comments banded at her.
The bullying from school came back to haunt her and she could not face going past these spiteful vindictive idiots again.
My friend is a paramedic. If these people ever needed to be given any medical help, I wonder would they still call her a “fat cow”.
She is well respected, admired and devoted to her profession, she is a volunteer councillor, helping others, and an amazing mum.
I find it despicable that some find it so amusing to bully and destroy other people’s lives, when my friend spends her life trying to save people. They really should get a LIFE.
