PROCEEDS from Solihull’s biggest-ever firework display, organised by Solihull Round Table last year, are already starting to show huge benefits to local charities and organisations.

Coppice Junior School joined forces with the Round Table and sold many of the LED bracelets and charms that were so popular at the Tudor Grange Park event.

The money they raised was over £1,000 and has paid for an adventure playground in the grounds of the Coppice Road school.

Headteacher Julie McCarthy said: “It is fantastic to have such a wonderful result from the hard-working members of our school PSA and be able to see such direct benefits from their efforts. The children love the new features.”
