RUNNERS are being urged to dust off their trainers and join the challenge of a five-mile charity run and 1.5 mile family fun run taking place at Hatton Country World, near Warwick, this month.

RUNNERS are being urged to dust off their trainers and join the challenge of a five-mile charity run and 1.5 mile family fun run taking place at Hatton Country World, near Warwick, this month.

Organisers of the fifth Hatton Multi-Terrain 5 and the family fun run which takes place on Sunday September 27 over the Hatton Estate - are appealing for competitors of all abilities to help raise money for several local charities.

Winners will share in hundreds of pounds worth of gift vouchers to spend at Warwick Sports Shop in Swan Street, which is co-sponsoring the event.

Funds raised will go to Hatton Joint Organisations, which helps seven charities in the parishes of Shrewley, Haseley and Hatton, including the Royal British Legion and Hatton 1st Brownies.

The main race will start at 10.30am. The 1.5-mile family run - with a first prize of an annual pass to Hatton Farm Village and a medallion for all entrants - will take place at noon for people of all ages at their own pace.

Entry fees for the Multi-Terrain 5 race are £10 for runners who are members of affiliated athletic clubs and £12 for all others.

For the family run, entry is £2 for each family no matter how many run and are only obtainable on the morning of the race.
