Good excuse

I AM sure I won’t be the only reader with little or no sympathy for John West who claims to have ‘misremembered’ the parking restrictions he was fined for disregarding.

I AM sure I won’t be the only reader with little or no sympathy for John West who claims to have ‘misremembered’ the parking restrictions he was fined for disregarding.

What does he expect? He parks on a yellow line, doesn’t bother to check the instructions on the signs and then complains when given a parking ticket?

People who flout these rules inconvenience other road users and shoppers and deserve to be fined.

What if people “misremembered” speed limits? Or one-way streets?

Do the rest of us just say “Oh - that’s all right then?”
