IN answer to P Thomas’ puzzlement over my letter of April 2. The point I was trying to make was that Alec Taylor was citing Lord Careys false claims of Christian persecution. Now I confess I did go a little over the top and the letter although edited, still held the gist of my point.
I know it’s a bit like shooting fish in a barrel but I do find it a little rich to be chided for not making myself clear by a person who normally writes in a sort of arcane digital code.
Luke 6:37 and Matthew 5:39 etc.
As an aside I note that at least as far as the letters feature is concerned there does seem to be a groundswell of rationalism, secularism and, dare I say it, atheism developing in the borough ...... long may it continue.
