Over half term, children of all ages have been busy building more than 150 fantastic Guy Fawkes in the Build-a-Guy workshops, which will run until Saturday 6th November.

A panel of judges from Umberslade will then choose the very best guys from the Umberslade Guy Gallery to be burnt on the Tanworth-in-Arden bonfire being held at Umberslade Farm Park on 6th November 2010.

Matt Porter, co-director at Umberslade Farm Park said: “We are delighted to have so many splendid Guy Fawkes in our Guy Gallery. Let’s see how many we can build by Bonfire Night. We are supplying the raw materials, including straw, sticks, paints and old clothing to build your very own guy. We’ll also show the children how to build it from scratch and supervise the activity. All the kids have to do is get stuck in and build a fantastic Guy Fawkes.”

The Build-a-Guy workshops are included as part of the standard entry ticket which gives visitors access to the full farm park, including the regular animal feeding sessions, tractor rides, and all the usual farmyard fun at Umberslade.

Umberslade Farm Park is also hosting a separate ticketed bonfire night party on Saturday 6th November. Tickets are to be bought in advance from Umberslade Farm Park or Tanworth in Arden School at £2.50 for children, £5 for adults and £10 for a family ticket (2 adults and 3 children).
