A HALL Green-based lawyer has swapped her lawyer's briefs for cyclist's lycra to ride more than 200 miles from London to Paris.
Gwyneth Allsopp, managing director of The Law Practice UK, set off on Wednesday and is hoping to raise thousands of pounds for Dreams Come True, a charity that makes the dreams of terminally or seriously ill children become a reality.
Her journey will take her first to Newhaven, then on from Dieppe to the French capital.
She said: "This year was one of those 'special' birthdays and I decided I wanted to celebrate it by raising money for a great cause and by getting fit at the same time.
"I have received a lot of encouragement from friends, family and work associates and I am looking forward to a huge personal challenge."
