STAFF at Solihull NHS Care Trust’s displayed their acting talents in a campaign to urge people to go to A&E only in an emergency.
The message of ‘Choose Well. Get the right NHS treatment for you’, saw employees including corporate business manager Rebecca Hutchin and her three-year-old son Jacob posing as a mother and slightly ill child, in the campaign which is appearing in newspaper advertisements and on posters across the borough.
They and fellow actors hope to encourage patients to use other services as appropriate such as NHS Direct, self-care, the local pharmacy, GPs and Solihull Healthcare and Walk-in Centre in Lode Lane.
Medical director Dr Patrick Brooke said: “Choosing well means you will get the most appropriate treatment. It also allows busy NHS services to help the people who need them most.
“We needed to do this campaign on a tight budget. Thanks to these willing members of staff and their relatives we were able to do so – they are stars.”
