A HENLEY-in-Arden pub is hoping to raise more than £1,000 for charity with a St George’s Day champagne afternoon tea.

The Bluebell in High Street, supported by Business Ladies Around Henley, is offering a vintage afternoon tea with some surprise ‘Eat Me, Drink Me’ curios followed by a talk from Midlands food and drink expert Philippe Boucheron.

A charity auction will be held including items such as a hand-crafted afternoon tea stand and bone China tea set from Heritage Collection, suppliers to The Ritz, as well as a year’s membership to Gourmet Life dining club and much more. A prize will be given for best dressed lady.

The event begins at 12.30pm on Monday (April 23). Tickets are £20 from 01564793049 or at www.bluebellhenley.co.uk. All money raised will go towards Myton Hospice’s ‘Take 50 Challenge’.
