A MAN, found with two wraps of heroin, has told a court he is not a drug addict.

Police found Dean Asquith, 31, of Hadfield Way, Chelmsley Wood, with two wraps of heroin when they searched his vehicle on September 13.

Sanjit Sanghara, defending, said Asquith, who had just finished a suspended sentence for a similar offence, used the Class A drug ‘on a social basis only.’ “He is not addicted. It was a small quantity for his own personal use.”

Asquith was ordered to pay fine and costs of £360.
