LODE Heath School is celebrating a top-notch report from Ofsted inspectors.
Following a recent visit to the Lode Lane school, the education inspectors ranked the school as outstanding - the highest possible grade.
In their report, the inspectors highlight a number of areas where standards are particularly high - GCSE results, sports activities and pupils’ behaviour were all praised.
Rhys Jones, chair of governors, said: “I would like to congratulate both the pupils and the school staff on the excellent quality of their achievements. This is a report to be extremely proud of.
“We are now looking forward to going from strength to strength and continue providing excellent education for our pupils.”
Since 2007, Lode Heath has been a specialist sports school and was awarded a second specialism - in science - last year.
Mark Rogers, chief executive of Solihull Council, said: “I am delighted that Lode Heath has been recognised as an outstanding school. The hard work and commitment of the whole school community has been deservedly rewarded.
“I was particularly taken with the lead inspector’s view that the different curriculum options available to all students ensures that there is something to interest and engage everyone in their learning. An accolade indeed.”
