Hospital tackles free blood test in drive to tackle prostate cancer

A hard-hitting campaign which has involved famous faces in a series of TV, digital and print adverts is being backed by a local healthcare provider, which is supporting the aim to raise awareness of prostate cancer.

Spire Parkway Hospital in Solihull is offering free blood testing on Saturday, March 9 as part of a campaign to target prostate cancer.

The Sledgehammer campaign is aimed at men over 45 to help spread the word about this fatal disease, which kills 10,000 men each year in the UK alone.

The event, at Spire Parkway Hospital between 10am and 2pm, will give men aged over 45 who are not currently undergoing prostate treatment, further information on prostate cancer, access to urologists to answer questions and free blood testing.
