How dare you

I AM incensed to find through my letterbox a leaflet stating that Solihull Ratepayers Association are opposing the traffic calming on Bills Lane.

I AM incensed to find through my letterbox a leaflet stating that Solihull Ratepayers Association are opposing the traffic calming on Bills Lane.

How dare you presume to oppose this much needed calming that might make our lives less of a misery than it is now, having to dodge the idiots that speed past our houses at all times of the day and night. It has nothing to do with you – you don’t even live here!

Two years ago a speeding driver lost control and ploughed across four front gardens demolishing walls, trees and writing off several cars.

The car came to a halt in the middle of my driveway having smashed both the cars there.

At least one of the houses suffered structural damage. If anyone had been on the pavement or on one of the front drives they would not have stood a chance.

Something needs to be done before lives are lost – not wait until it happens.

I notice the leaflet is organised by people that don’t even live in Bills Lane – typical. I hope that everyone who does live in Bills Lane will ignore this leaflet and back these much needed proposals.
