ST THOMAS’s in Hockley Heath came up trumps after a Neil Diamond tribute night boosted the church funds.

The musical evening saw Ian Scott work his way through a selection of songs accompanied by guitarist Danny Villareal.

Ian wowed the packed Memorial Hall with numbers by Snow Patrol, The Moody Blues, The Beatles and Elvis before thrilling the audience with his Neil Diamond tribute.

Organiser Shirley Page said: “We can’t thank Ian and Danny enough for giving this free concert which raised £1,259 for much-needed church funds.”

Guests on the night tucked into a tasty supper provided by Obelisk Farm.
