TRANSPORT Secretary Patrick McLoughlin has announced improvements to the M42 at Junction 6.
Congestion is experienced at the junction, particularly when collisions occur and when major events take place at the National Exhibition Centre.
To reduce these jams, the scheme will involve widening the roundabout and entry and exit arms.
The £7,380,000 project will begin in 2014 and is expected to be completed the following year.
Caroline Spelman, MP for Meriden, said: “I am grateful to the new transport secretary Patrick McLoughlin for releasing taxpayers’ money to fund this important improvement.”
