AN increasing number of Solihull Hospital patients would recommend the service they received in Accident and Emergency to their nearest and dearest, latest figures show.

Results from the NHS Family and Friends Test, published this week, reveal that a large majority of patients asked between April and June were either ‘extremely likely’ or ‘likely’ to recommend the service to others.

Out of 4,478 patients eligible to respond, 446 said they would recommend the inpatients and casualty service to their family and friends, compared to 40 people who said they would not.

Similarly 110 patients said in June they would recommend the Acute Inpatients service, compared to three who were extremely unlikely.

While only a handful of those eligible to take part in the survey responded, a spokeswoman for Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust, which covers Solihull Hospital, said an increasing number of people were participating.
