POLICE are appealing for information after a robbery in the Dorridge area on Saturday (March 21)
A gang of four or five teenagers approached another group of four boys and demanded they hand over their belongings. One of the victims was assaulted during the robbery and suffered bruising to his face.
The incident took place at around 9pm in the park area of Arden Drive. Offenders made off with mobile phones and a quantity of cash. The robbers have been described as Asian and aged between 15-17. They were wearing dark clothes and hooded tops at the time of the robbery.
Det Con Daniel Watts, from Solihull’s robbery team, said: “This is believed to be an unprovoked attack which left the victims very shaken.
“It is believed the offenders are not from the area and travelled into Dorridge on public transport, bus or train. The robbery team at Solihull are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen a group of Asian youths in the area or travelling on public transport into or away from the Dorridge area late Saturday evening.”
