A MAN was taken to hospital with head injuries last weekend after the car he was in crashed into a tree at the Stanway Road-Welford Road junction, Shirley.
The county air ambulance attended but the casualty, believed to be the driver, was transported to Selly Oak Hospital by land ambulance.
As well as the helicopter and a land ambulance, two rapid response vehicles were sent to the scene shortly after 5pm on Sunday (September 21).
Two firecrews from Solihull - and police - attended. But the casualty was out of the car when firecrews arrived, so they assisted paramedics.
