SOLIHULL’S own Michelle Edinburgh has finished a tough trek through the mountains of Peru.
The 39-year-old was inspired to take up the challenge after her sister, Jacqui, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis.
Earlier this month, she finished the Inca Trail and scaled the peak of Warmiwanuska (otherwise known as Dead Woman’s Pass).
The mountain stands at 18,500 feet and Michelle described the climb as “gruelling but breathtaking.”
She wants to raise a total of £3000 for Cystic Fibrosis and, at the moment, is just £800 shy of her target.
Michelle, a psychotherapist, has already completed a trek through the arid Grand Canyon and now she’s got a salsa workshop planned for next month.
The event will be taking place on June 18, at the Solihull British Legion.
