THIRTY one jobs are at risk at three Clinton Cards stores in Solihull after the firm announced it has entered into administration.

Administrators have warned it is likely a number of its stores - which could include outlets in Touchwood, Mill Lane and the Stratford Road - will close as the chain tries to recoup its losses.

Peter Saville, Simon Freakley and Anne O’Keefe, partners at Zolfo Cooper, have been appointed Joint Administrators over Clinton Cards Plc.

A statement issued by the administrators said: “The challenging business environment, and in particular the increased competition for greetings cards and related products, meant that the group required radical restructuring and administration was the last remaining option available.”
