ONCE again the people of Solihull are being asked to keep track of the birds that are visiting the area.

ONCE again the people of Solihull are being asked to keep track of the birds that are visiting the area.

The borough’s park rangers and the RSPB are eager for people to take part in the Big Garden Bird Watch.

Two events will be taking place later this month to coincide with the survey.

Visitors will be given sheets so they can record the birds they see and help the efforts of the wildlife charity. The first event will be taking place in Brueton Park on January 24. The following day, the event will move to Babbs Mill Local Nature Reserve. Both activities will run from 11am-1pm.

Data from the survey is used to keep tabs on the UK’s bird population.

You can find out more about the Big Garden Bird Watch by logging on to www.rspb.org.uk/birdwatch. You can also record your sightings online.
