SOLIHULL’S own stylist to the stars has proved he has the X Factor after he was chosen to dress Kelly Rowland.
The American singer and judge of the ITV hit show has been seen sporting labels from designer boutique Serene Order, on Drury Lane, including a Religion jacket just last week.
But for store owners Nad Ahmed and wife Loretta, its just another day in the office as scores of celebrities look to the couple for help to stay one step ahead in the fashion stakes.
“Kelly is aspirational,” said Nad who is a big fan of the former Destiny’s Child singer.
“She’s such a nice character and has a chic, sexy yet elegant style. You can tell she feels comfortable in her own skin. ”
The store have supplied outfits for A listers including Victoria and David Beckham, rapper Eminem, JLS and The Wanted as well as stars of The Only Way is Essex, the X Factor including feisty singer Misha B and Premiership football players.
Despite his famous fan base, one celebrity Nad would love to get his hands on is Kelly’s X Factor co-star Tulisa Contostavlos.
“She just tries too hard,” he said.
Nad, who originally had a store in Birmingham is passionate about fashion and often has to travel all over the world to source the next big trend.
“It sounds glamorous but it bloody isn’t,” he said. “You have to live out of a suitcase!
“Its not all about spending money either. Whether you want to spend £30, £300 or thousands everyone can come and find something unique and beautiful that they will keep.”
And aside from his celebrity pals, Nad said the happiest moment of his day is styling a client to “make them feel like a million dollars.”
