Knife scorn

HOW irresponsible of Ms Hopkins to carry on carrying a knife on her journey after discovering it in a packet of wipes!

HOW irresponsible of Ms Hopkins to carry on carrying a knife on her journey after discovering it in a packet of wipes! The airport is slightly at fault I admit, but Ms Hopkins must take a lot of responsibility for her silly actions.

Considering she is a child minder, she should not have put a knife in a pack of baby wipes anyway. If a child had gone in there for a wipe for their hands, they could have cut themselves. Hardly responsible actions for a child minder to not say anything to airport staff, and not ask them to dispose of the knife is ridiculous!

A woman of this age should have more sense. Instead of talking to another passenger, she should have spoken to airport staff immediately. The immaturity of how this situation was handled by Ms Hopkins is unbelievable.

I would expect these actions to be of an 18-year-old, not a woman of 45. She could have caused a huge security alert had this knife been discovered on the plane.

The airport is correct - airport security is the responsibility of passengers too.
