Knowle and Dorridge raced to a comfortable seven wicket success after restricting the 2011 National Club K.O. Champions to 217 for nine, surely giving Shrewsbury concerns over their early season form.
This result completed a poor week for the Shropshire side, after bowing out of the 2012 National K.O. and the 2012 National Club Twenty20 Competition in the space of five days.
Joe Leach top scored with 43, for Shrewsbury, with leg-spinner Chris Davidson snaring five for 64 for K & D. David Smith (72) and Steffan Piolet (46) wasted little time before clinching the game.
Skipper Jamie Spires said the side were looking confident in the premier league.
“Shrewsbury are a very strong outfit. They won the league the other year.
“League-wise, apart from the first game which we were quite unlucky with, we haven’t really looked like losing.
“I always think it could be our year but from the way we started, I’m confident we’ve got a good little squad.”
