ZEST Energy Solutions of Knowle has supplied, installed and commissioned a 45.5kWp solar array at British Showjumping’s new offices in Meriden.
The new array is forecast to produce 35,921kWh’s per annum, equating to a saving of almost 19 tonnes of carbon per annum.
British Showjumping expect to use around 30,000 kWh’s per annum in their new premises which would mean their carbon footprint in this location would be neutral.
The system consists of 182 panels mounted on an in-roof system so as to minimise any visual impact.
The array not only ensures British Showjumping are minimising their impact on the environment but they are safeguarding themselves against future energy price increases and they will also benefit from the governments Feed in Tariff incentives.
Zest Energy Solutions have designed and installed the array to achieve the maximum yields possible.
From the use of good quality products and sound design principles, Zest have delivered a system that has exceeded forecast by 16 per cent in its first month of operation.
Zest Energy Solutions Operations Director, Paul Atkinson said: “This was a very challenging install due to the impending Feed in Tarriff deadline and the inclement weather conditions experienced.
“We are however very proud to be associated with British Showjumping and the successful installation of the system is a tribute to all involved.”
