A LEARNER caught driving illegally along the motorway has received a fine and three points on his licence.
Martin Rose, 46, was stopped by police on the motorway near Solihull on March 28.
Rose, from Wednesbury, pleaded guilty at Solihull Magistrates Court on Monday to driving without an appropriate licence.
He told magistrates he was taking his daughter to hospital. He added: “If I wasn’t trying to get my daughter to hospital for an operation, I would never have gone on the motorway.”
Rose received three points, was fined £80 and told to pay £80 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
