BUSINESSES got their thinking caps on to raise £3,450 for Save the Children at a Lloyds TSB Commercial charity quiz night in Solihull.
A hundred people came together at last week’s event, held at the Solihull Municipal Club in Brick Kiln Lane, for Save the Children, Lloyds TSB Commercial’s chosen charity for 2012.
The 10 teams put their general knowledge to the test in a keenly contested quiz that saw victory for commercial property services company Aitchison Rafferty. Attendees then battled it out for the host of raffle prizes on offer.
Save the Children is an international charity based in the UK that works to save the lives of children and challenges world leaders to provide a brighter future for young people.
Paul Warrington, relationship manager at Lloyds TSB Commercial, said: “It was a fantastic night thoroughly enjoyed by all, and there were a few brainboxes unearthed as competitive sides shone through. We are very proud that everyone came together to raise £3,450 for such an exceptionally worthy cause.
“Lloyds TSB Commercial supports a different charity each year, and throughout 2012 we will be working hard to raise awareness and funds to contribute towards the tireless work undertaken by Save the Children.”
