D BONHAM seems to believe that since no-one has responded to their earlier letter in the Solihull News, this is proof that scientists “haven’t a clue” other than to blame carbon emissions (Letters). I would suggest that just because D Bonham does not understand something, it does not mean that others do not.
If D Bonham really wanted the answers to the five questions posed in their first letter, I would suggest that an open appeal in a local newspaper is not the best way to get answers.
These answers can be best obtained through research, for instance through your local library, or by contacting the numerous organisations and individuals dealing with climate change.
It would seem that D Bonham has an agenda to disprove the hypothesis that anthropomorphic activity is the primary reason for the increasing temperature around the globe. If D Bonham believes that the observed increase in greenhouse gases in our atmosphere is not the result of human activity, and does not result in an increase in temperature, then I urge him/her to take up science as a career to investigate this for themselves.
