Machete menace arrested

A MAN allegedly seen wielding two machetes in a Castle Bromwich street has been arrested and charged.

A MAN allegedly seen wielding two machetes in a Castle Bromwich street has been arrested and charged.

Police were called out to West Avenue at 2.20pm last Sunday (May 27) after reports of a man “nonchalantly walking down the street swinging two machetes around.”

Arriving in just seven minutes, officers arrested the suspect after “a brief struggle”.

Ricky Davis, 28, of Blakesley Road, Yardley has been charged with possession of a bladed article.

He has now been bailed to appear at Solihull Magistrates Court on June 7.
