POPULAR entertainer Malcolm Stent is set to finally take part in the annual Dorridge Fun Run – but in a wheelchair!
The funnyman has started the event for the last six years but this year, as any form of non motorised transport is allowed, he will be whisked through the Warwickshire lanes on June 26 by an enthusiastic team of pushers.
A spokesman said: “Our success and ever-growing popularity is due to the fact that the event has something for everyone.
“We attract not just serious runners but joggers, walkers, cyclists and indeed, entrants in wheelchairs and not always, like Malcolm, just for fun.
“Quite often whole families cover the route together with some members running and some cycling all in complete safety.
“The closed roads and beautiful scenery offer an opportunity for a unique and very enjoyable family excursion.”
