GET clear for take off this weekend when a fun weekend in aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance takes off at Braceys Garden Centre in Bickenhill.
Local actor and comedian Malcolm Stent will cut the tape to open the big event at 10am and there will be loads of events for people to enjoy - including an opprtunity to look at the helicopter ‘pod’ of an air ambulance itself.
In addition there will be a prize draw for everyone splashing out £5 for a cream tea with one of Bracey’s famous hanging baskets as the prize.
The event has been organised by Arden Ladies Club and last year it raised over £1,000 for the vital emergency charity.
“It will be open on both Saturday and Sunday, there will be a DJ on the Saturday and lots of things for people to do and see,” said Ladies spokeswoman Elspeth Martin.
“The Midlands Air Ambulance is such a orthy charity which saves so many lives but it costs £5 million a year to kep it flying and we are delighted to be able to do our bit and we hope the public will rally round and support us on both days.”
Braceys Garden Centre can be found in Catherine de Barnes Lane and everyone is invited to go along and enjoy the fun.
