Man accused of Birmingham Airport drugs smuggling

A MAN has appeared in court accused of trying to smuggle some £800,000 worth of heroin in his underwear.

A MAN has appeared in court accused of trying to smuggle some £800,000 worth of heroin in his underwear.

Mamad Chagani, 57, was arrested at Birmingham Airport on January 21, after allegedly having sewn the Class A drug into his vest and pants.

Arriving on a flight from Pakistan, via Dubai, he was later charged with a drug importation offence.

Solihull Magistrates are due to commit his case to crown court this month.
