Man aged 91 in hospital after mobility scooter collision in Shirley

A 91-YEAR-OLD man on a mobility scooter was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after he was in collision with a Renault van in Shirley.

A 91-YEAR-OLD man on a mobility scooter was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after he was in collision with a Renault van in Shirley.

The accident happened at 10am on Saturday, December 6, at the junction of Stratford Road and Haslucks Green Road. The van driver was not injured.

Yesterday, the pensioner, who has not been identified, was said to be in serious but stable condition.

West Midlands Police have appealed for any witnesses to the collision to contact the road policing unit at Solihull on 0845 113 5000.
