Man arrested for Chelmsley Wood knife robbery

A TEENAGER was threatened with a knife in a street robbery that happened in Chelmsley Wood last week.

A TEENAGER was threatened with a knife in a street robbery that happened in Chelmsley Wood last week.

The 19-year-old victim was approached in Grandys Croft at around 3.30am last Friday morning (January 14).

A Blackberry phone was stolen by the offender during the incident, near the Balliol House tower block.

Police confirmed this week that an 18-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of robbery and bailed pending further inquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Solihull Police on the none-emergency 101 number.
