A MAN has been charged with deliberately starting two flat fires in Chelmsley Wood.

Andrew Proctor, of Brookfarm Walk, denied two charges of arson with intent to endanger life in his own road and Lyecroft Avenue on Saturday March 17 when he appeared before Solihull Magistrates on Monday (March 19).

He also pleaded not guilty to one count of harassment on March 14.

The 31-year-old was remanded in custody until his trial for the two counts of arson at Warwick Crown Court on July 3.

He is due to appear back at the magistrates, via video link, for the charge of harassment - on March 27.
