A MAN has been charged with handling stolen goods after police allegedly found parts from seven stolen cars, worth £90,000, at his home.

Officers had become suspicious after driving past Shehzad Saeed’s house in Wycombe Road, Hall Green, on August 13, and saw several vehicles without driving licences, the court heard.

Malcolm Stoddart, prosecuting, said when police returned three days later with a warrant, they found numerous vehicle parts, mostly belonging to BMWs, which they were able to trace back to stolen vehicles. Around £3,000 in cash was also discovered at the property.

The 25-year-old denied seven charges of handling stolen goods between March 10 and August 16 this year.

The case has been committed to Birmingham Crown Court, for a trial on on March 19.
