Man charged with breaching his ASBO by entering Solihull Town Centre

A man, banned from the whole of Solihull town centre, has been charged with breaching his Asbo

A man, banned from the whole of Solihull town centre, has been charged with breaching his Asbo.

Tyrone McDermott of Bevington Road, Birmingham, denied entering Boots in Mell Square, Solihull on June 24 and stealing £40 worth of Lynx body spray when he appeared at Solihull Magistrates Court on July 12. The 31-year-old also denied entering the town centre again on July 7 to catch a bus from Lode Lane. However, he did admit breaching his anti-social behaviour order on July 8, when he visited Boots in Mell Square.

But McDermott, who appeared at court via video link, pleaded not guilty to assaulting two plain-clothed police officers when they recognised and arrested him. He was remanded in custody to appear for his trial at magistrates on August 10.
