A GLASWEGIAN has been accused of going on a £12,000 shoplifting spree in Solihull on Sunday.

A GLASWEGIAN has been accused of going on a £12,000 shoplifting spree in Solihull on Sunday.

It is alleged Declan Paxton of Brassey Street, Rockhill stuffed coats, dresses, tops and perfume into modified bags designed to block signals from store security alarms.

The 18-year-old appeared at Solihull Magistrates on Monday morning charged with six counts of theft and was remanded in custody. He was due back at the same court yesterday.
