A YOB repeatedly kicked a young dad in the head during a “brutal” attack in Elmdon Park and police need your help to find him.

The 23-year-old victim, who was with his wife and children at the time, was pulled from a climbing frame and kicked as he lay on the ground. He suffered a fractured skull and was left with 59 staples in his head, following the assault on Sunday, June 10.

The attack was all the more horrific because it happened in broad daylight, around 2pm, in front of the victim’s family.

Police said the culprit was a mixed-race male of medium build in his early 20s.

He had short dark hair, a small moustache and was wearing dark clothing. He left in a white Seat Leon, in the company of a young woman and small child.

DC Ruth Morris added: “It was a nice day and the park was busy so we are sure that someone will have information to help us trace the attacker.”

Anyone with information should call Solihull Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
