MARIE Curie’s new £7 million hospice opens in Solihull next week.
After 18 months of work, the purpose-built premises in Marsh Lane is finally due to open its doors to patients and staff on January 12.
An official opening ceremony will be hosted by a surprise guest later this year.
The new hospice for the West Midlands has double the day care capacity and forty per cent more bedrooms than its current Warwick Road site to provide care for thousands of locals with serious and terminal illnesses.
It will also offer open lounges to give patients and families plenty of space to spend precious time together or single rooms to allow privacy.
Marie Curie have already raised £6million since launching their Big Build Appeal.
