POMP and petunias will be giving a borough village a splash of colour later this month.
A Flower Festival is being organised in Marston Green to commemorate the Olympics and Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The two-day event is at St Leonard’s Church on May 12-13.
On the Saturday there will also be a May Market, with a car boot sale, Morris Dancers and Maypole dancing by pupils from the village infants school.
The festival is from 10am-6pm on Saturday and 11am-6pm on Sunday, ending with a Songs of Praise-style service. The May Market is open 10am-4pm.
