VISITORS got a taste of patient life in Solihull last week as they were invited to try hospital food.
As part of the national Taste of Patient Safety campaign, folk were treated to a Come Dine With Me experience at Solihull Hospital.
Lynette Merricks, aged 62, and husband Albert, aged 75, from Maypole, were impressed with what is on the patients’ menus.
“The meal tasted very nice, wasn’t fatty. I would happily eat it if I was at hospital,” said Lynette.
The scheme aims to raise awareness of the importance of nutrition and hydration.
