Meriden gypsy camp protesters rejoice at planning ruling

A FRESH application to develop green belt land just yards from a gypsy site has been thrown out by borough councillors.

A FRESH application to develop green belt land just yards from a gypsy site has been thrown out by borough councillors.

Travellers led by Noah Burton, submitted the plans to set up camp just three feet away from the site currently illegally occupied by the gypsies.

David McGrath from Residents Against Inappropriate Development, (RAID), said after the hearing: “Any other decision would have been a travesty.”
