Metal thieves steal Meriden man's bike

METAL thieves stole a Meriden man’s mountain bike from outside his grandmother’s house.

METAL thieves stole a Meriden man’s mountain bike from outside his grandmother’s house.

Robert Parr said he was furious to discover the green GT bike had disappeared from outside the Archery Road home.

The 37-year-old discovered the bike had been taken, along with an old DVD player and Christmas lights, last Tuesday (May 1).

It vanished from outside the home at some point during the previous week and Mr Parr believes a rogue scrap dealer could be responsible.

“It’s not so much about the bike, it’s the fact that they walked up a pensioner’s garden and just took it,” said the Fillongley Road resident.

“I’ve heard of a couple of people who have had things go missing around the village.”

If you have any information about the theft, call Solihull Police on 101.
